My Friday report this week is from aboard the Celebrity Infinity heading back to Ft Lauderdale after a week in the Caribbean. This trip was planned and paid for weeks ago and when I found out that it was not refundable and the Fort Myers apartment, I rented won’t be ready until Sunday, I decided to save paying for another week in a hotel – and just take the cruise.
Have I felt guilty floating about at sea while many are struggling – and while son/teammate David has been toiling every day removing more demolished furnishings/belongings at my home and our office? You bet, but I’m ready for reality when the ship docks in the morning & look forward to settling back closer to Sanibel, and finally getting back on island myself next week.
I have continued to follow the City progress briefings on Facebook Live, now Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays at 5 p.m. – posting recaps on both my personal and business FB pages.

The progress made on island in just three short weeks is amazing. City leaders/staff continue to work 24/7 coordinating efforts locally, county, state, federal. We owe them huge thanks.

Still no word from our landlord at Sanibel Square, so I’m not sure if the future location of SanibelSusan Realty will remain the same, but since listing & selling real estate, these days can be done from anywhere through electronic media, I have been working several hours every day, keeping up with listing inquiries, helping owners, & fielding questions from prospective sellers.
